Find Us On Facebook: Bill Pohlad 'The Tree Of Life' Producer, Hosting Screenings Of Final Cut In Minneapolis Home

Update: We've been informed that the StarTribune's report is erroneous. Bill Pohlad is not hosting screenings of "The Tree Of Life."

If Bill Pohlad's phone is ringing a bit more often these days, and he's suddenly the recipient of numerous gifts from people he hasn't spoken to since high school, it might just be because he's probably the only man in America other than Terrence Malick to have a copy of the highly anticipated "The Tree Of Life" sitting in his BluRay player/projection room.

According to the StarTribune, the River Road Entertainment producer who helped finance the film has been "hosting private screenings of the final cut at his Minneapolis home to gauge audience reaction." We be surprised if Malick is truly done and finished tinkering with "The Tree Of Life"; the filmmaker is a notoriously fussy editor given to tweaking his films numerous times.

No word yet on what requirements you need to get into the screening room chez Pohlad, but if you're reading this, we'd love to give you some feedback on the film. Tell us the date and we'll be there. We'll bring the popcorn.

For those of us not lucky enough to gain admission to the Pohlad screening room, the film will hit theaters in 2011 via Fox Searchlight.
